"Remember the word and promise to Your servant, in which You have caused me to hope. This is
my comfort and consolation in my affliction: that Your word has revived me and given me life." Psalm 119:49-50 AMP BIBLE

C.A.R.E.- Chronic
Illness Advocates Responding with Empathy. Our Chronic Illness Support Fellowship is a Bible-based
support ministry designed to help those who are struggling with the painful conditions of Breast and Cervical Cancer,
Multiple Sclorosis, and Heart Disease. Our desire is to provide an environment filled with hope and encouragement where
fear and uncertainty often resides. We will accomplish this mission through the following: - The
Holy Bible - LIFE GIVING MESSAGES. Chronic Illness can make a person feel like he or she has been abandoned
by God. The predictability of life is often crushed and you wonder where you will get the strength to go on. The Bible reminds
us that if we "draw near to God, He will draw near to us" (James 4:8). Those who are hurting will find God on every
page of His book. There is no better source of hope and encouragement than the Bible.
- Connecting
Hearts to Hearts - PRAYER. Prayer is at the heart of all we do.Those who are hurting or suffering often say
that they can feel the prayers of others giving them strength and encouragement.
- Koinonia
- FRIENDSHIP THROUGH FELLOWSHIP. People who are coping with the same problems and issues truly understand how chronic
or terminal illness can change a life forever. Loyal relationships begin when people genuinely care about the journey
you are on, know of your challenges, and want to support you along the way.
- Resource
Support - PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY CARE. We want to provide recommended resources from such places
as the American Cancer Society, National Multiple Sclorosis Society, American Heart Association and other health-care professionals,
who work closely with chronically ill patients. These materials are meant to provide practical guidance, both spiritual and
physical, for patients and their families. If you or someone you know would benefit from this ministry, please contact
us at (804) 426-8215.

Many of us have experienced
the pain of losing a loved one to a chronic or terminal disease. Our C.A.R.E. Ministry (Chronic Illness Advocates
Responding with Empathy) is a Bible-based support ministry created to help those who are struggling with the
painful realities of cancer and other dreaded diseases. Our desire is to provide a haven filled with hope and encouragement
where fear and uncertainty often dominates. In 2010 we will establish The Annie J. Phelps and Sonja M. Watts
Educational Foundation that will help us educate and raise awareness about Cervical and Breast Cancer and we will initiate the
first Annual Sabrina G. & Company Autumn Festival event to raise awareness and help benefit the National
Multiple Sclorosis Society.
